Master’s Degree in Mathematics

Students attending the Master Degree program in Mathematics can specialize in various areas of Mathematics, spanning from theory to applications.
Students choose among different curricula, focusing on one or more fields of Mathematics, and at the end of their study program they prove their independence by working on their thesis (this amounts to roughly 30% of the total workload).

Students of the Master Degree in Mathematics have the opportunity to spend up to one year abroad joining one of the international programs

 

Requirements

 

  1. First Level Degree in the class of Mathematical Sciences with a final grade of at least 85/110, or an equivalent degree (in this case the equivalence is decided by a committee).
  2. A minimun 50 ECTS credits in the fields of Algebra (MAT/02), Geometry (MAT/03), Mathematical Analysis (MAT/05), Probability and Mathematical Statistics (MAT/06), Mathematical Physics (MAT/07), and Numerical Analysis (MAT/08)
  3. English: B2 Level (CEFR) or equivalent.

A different entrance procedure and/or admission tests can be arranged for highly prepared and motivated students not fulfilling the above requirements.
